cantaloupe terrain

cantaloupe terrain A type of terrain on Neptune's satellite Triton, consisting of near-circular shallow dimples up to about 50 km across, separated by series of overlapping ridges. The origin of such terrain is uncertain, but the dimples could be the product of melting and folding of the icy surface. It is so named because of its resemblance to the skin of a cantaloupe melon.
