billitonite

billitonite A type of tektite found on Billiton Island, Indonesia, one of the many sites where tektites have been recovered in Southeast Asia. Billitonites are found in Quaternary gravels and tuffs, and so are less than a million years old. This agrees with the average ablation age of the Southeast Asian tektites, around 600 000 years.
