Spindle Galaxy An elongated 9th-magnitude galaxy in Sextans, also known as NGC 3115. It is classified as either a highly flattened elliptical galaxy, or a spiral with a large bulge and hardly any surrounding disk. It lies about 30 million l.y. away.
