Southern Reference Stars

Southern Reference Stars (SRS) A list of 20 488 stars in the southern hemisphere designed to supplement the AGK3R (see AGK) in the north, to give a whole-sky coverage of reference stars for calibrating photographic surveys. Observations of stars mostly in the magnitude range 7.5 to 9.5 were made at a dozen observatories between 1961 and 1973, and coordinated at the US Naval Observatory and Pulkovo Observatory. The results were issued in computer-readable form in 1988. http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/cgi/bin/Cat?I/138
