Imager for Magnetopause-to-Aurora Global Exploration (IMAGE) A NASA satellite launched into high polar orbit in 2000March to study how the Earth's magnetosphere reacts to changes in the solar wind. It carried instruments to image neutral atoms, ultraviolet emissions, and plasma motions. It ceased operation in 2005December. http://image.gsfc.nasa.gov/
