Flamsteed numbers
Flamsteed numbers Identification numbers applied to stars in a constellation in order of increasing right ascension. The stars so numbered are those included in the 1725 catalogue of J.
Flamsteed. Many stars are still known by their Flamsteed numbers (e.g. 61 Cygni).
