Double Cluster
Double Cluster A pair of 4th-magnitude open star clusters in Perseus, also known as NGC 869 and 884, or h and χ (Chi) Persei, each about ½° across. They lie about 7500 l.y. away in the Perseus spiral arm of our Galaxy, and are members of the Perseus OB1 association. NGC 869 is the richer, with around 200 stars against 150 in NGC 884. Both clusters are only a few million years old.
