Caltech Submillimeter Observatory
Caltech Submillimeter Observatory (CSO) An observatory with a 10.4-m dish for millimetre and submillimetre astronomy, opened in 1987 at an altitude of 4070 m on Mauna Kea, Hawaii. It can work in conjunction with the nearby
James Clerk Maxwell Telescope to produce an interferometer with a baseline of 158 m. It is owned and operated by the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). http://www.submm. caltech.edu/cso/
