Algieba The star Gamma Leonis. It is a binary consisting of a K1 giant of magnitude 2.6 and a G7 giant of magnitude 3.5 (combined magnitude 2.0). The stars orbit each other with a period of nearly 620 years, and lie 126 l.y. away.
