Sepioidea

Sepioidea (cuttlefish; class Cephalopoda, subclass Coleoidea) An order of cephalopods which have an internal phragmocone, which may be curved or coiled. They possess eight arms and two tentacles. They probably diverged from a belemnite (Belemnitida) ancestor in the early part of the Cretaceous Period.
