Turlupin

Turlupin [ Henri Legrand] (c.1587–1637), French actor, who as Belleville played serious parts in tragedy, but excelled in the parts of roguish valets and is best remembered for the Turlupinades, farces played at the Hôtel de Bourgogne in partnership with Gaultier-Garguille and Gros-Guillaume. He probably played at the Paris fairs before joining a professional company in about 1615. He figures as himself, with the rest of the company, in Gougenot's La Comédie des comédiens (1631).
