Fenn, Ezekiel

Fenn, Ezekiel (1620–?), boy actor with Queen Henrietta's Men under Christopher Beeston at the Cockpit, where in 1635 he played the chief female part in Nabbes's Hannibal and Scipio. He must already have had a good deal of experience with a boy company, as at about the same time he played an even more exacting role, Winifred in Dekker and Rowley's The Witch of Edmonton. When the Queen's Men disbanded in 1637 Fenn stayed on with Beeston, probably as one of the older members of his new company Beeston's Boys, playing his first male role in 1639. Fenn's history after the closing of the theatres in 1642 is unknown.
