Dallas Theater Center

Dallas Theater Center, Dallas, Tex., opened in 1959, professional regional theatre with an acting company of 16. Plays are performed at two locations: the Kalita Humphreys Theater, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, located on Turtle Creek Boulevard, and the Arts District Theater in Dallas's downtown arts district. DTC produces six mainstage plays each season comprising international and American classics, contemporary and new plays. A series of challenging, intimately scaled plays are produced ‘in the basement’ of the Kalita Humphreys Theater. The Theater Center plays to 10,500 subscribers throughout the Sept.–May season. DTC also offers a Teen/Children's Theater for young audiences.
