Aroldo (Harold). Opera in 4 acts by Verdi to lib. by Piave. Comp. 1856–7. Most of mus. is same as that for Stiffelio (1850), though Act 4 was newly composed and lib. is new. Prod. Rimini 1857, NY 1863, Wexford 1959, London (Camden Fest.) 1964.
