Ébliu

Ébliu
1. I, Éblenn, Éibhlear [OIr. oíph, sheen, beauty, radiance (?]. A sister of Lug Lámfhota and wife of Fintan mac Bóchra. Much associated with the province of Munster, she is thought to have given her name to mountains south of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

2. Ulster queen whose story is part of the lore of Lough Neagh. She fled with her stepsons, Eochu mac Maireda and Ríb, to form a new kingdom on a plain; the flood that dashed their plans and drowned them became the Lough.
