Tír Chonaill

Tír Chonaill, Tír Conaill, Tir Connell [Ir., land of Conall]. Kingdom named after Conall Gulban, son of Niall Noígiallach [of the Nine Hostages], part of the northern Uí Néill federation, coextensive not only with modern Co. Donegal but with most of the land from Lough Foyle to Ballysadare, Co. Sligo.
