Teyrnon Twrf Liant, Teirnyon Twrf Liant [Bryth. Tigernonos, great king; W twrf liant, roar of the sea]. Lord of Gwent Is Coed in the first branch of the Mabinogi who, along with his wife, becomes a foster-parent of the child of Rhiannon and Pwyll, whom he names Gwri Gwallt Euryn [Golden Hair]. When Gwri is in his fourth year, Teyrnon realizes his resemblance to Pwyll and restores him to his birth parents, who call him Pryderi.
