Ségda Sáerlabraid

Ségda Sáerlabraid [sáer, noble; labraid, speaker]. Otherworldly son of the sinless rulers of Tír Tairngire, Dáire (2) and Rígru Rosclethan, who had sexual relations only at the time of his conception. Conn seeks Ségda in Echtrae Airt meic Cuinn [The Adventure of Art son of Conn] in hopes that he will bring fertility back to the wasteland of Ireland. The boy gives unstinting affection to Conn and is even willing to make a sacrifice for him until he is rescued by his mother Rígru.
