Moccus, Moccos [cf. W moch, pigs; Ir. muc, pig]. Swine-god of the Continental Gauls, known from his invocation at Langres, France; may have been the guardian of boarhunters among the tribe of Lingones. Moccus is linked to and may be an aspect of Gaulish Mercury.
