Mac Gréine, Mac Gréne [Ir., son of the sun]. Sometimes also Cethor. King/warrior of the Tuatha Dé Danann who, with brothers Mac Cuill and Mac Cécht (1), kills Lug Lámfhota. Possibly a euhemerized sun-god, he is also the usual consort of Ériu, an incarnation of Ireland. He was killed by Amairgin. Least cited of the three brothers, he has little other mythology of his own.
