Kermaria [Bret. kêr, house; Maria, the Virgin Mary]. Early settlement site near Pont l'Abbé, southern Finistère, western Brittany, site of a standing stone of Gaulish origin. Some commentators have suggested this was the omphalos of Brittany or Armorica. See PUMLUMON; TYNWALD; UISNECH.
