Gronw Pebyr, Gronw Pefr [cf. W pybyr, staunch, strong]. Hunter from Penllyn near Bala Lake who has an adulterous affair with Blodeuwedd in the fourth branch of the Mabinogi. A year after he fails to kill Blodeuwedd's husband, Lleu Llaw Gyffes, Lleu kills him in the manner Gronw intended for him, but only after Gronw begs for reconciliation.
