Eterscél

Eterscél, Eterscéle, Etarscéle, Eterskel. King of Tara who becomes the father of Conaire Mór with one of three wives from rival stories. In Tochmarc Étaíne[The Wooing of Étaín] he mates with the abandoned, unnamed daughter Eochaid Airem unwittingly begot upon the false Étaín, also his daughter. Togail Bruidne Da Derga[The Destruction of Da Derga's Hostel] describes him mating with Mes Buachalla, the abandoned step-daughter of Étaín Óg. And in variants he mates with Ésa, yet another daughter of Eochaid Airem. Eterscél's own father may have been the incestuously begotten Fiachu Fer Mara. Eterscél is succeeded as king of Tara by Nuadu Necht.
