Eochu, Eocho, Eochy [Ir., horse-rider (?), fighter on horseback (?), horse of conquest (?)]. Diminutive of Eochaid; although the two forms are hopelessly confused in early manuscripts, some figures may be known only as Eochu, some only as Eochaid, and many as both.
