Donn mac Midir. A ruler of a sídh described in Acallam na Senórach [Colloquy of the Elders] who uses a woman disguised as a fawn to tempt Fionn mac Cumhaill. Along with his men, Fionn pursues the fawn until it disappears into the earth; a heavy snowstorm follows, and when the men seek shelter they stumble in the sídh and enter it. They see a hideous, boorish churl [Ir. aitheach] pass by, carrying a pig on an iron fork, followed by a beautiful young woman. They try to overtake the churl and his beautiful companion, but succumb to a magical mist before they can reach them. When the mists clear, Fionn and his men find themselves before an impressive fortress, the Otherworld residence of the churl. From the point of entering the sídh, this story is paralleled by an episode in Feis Tighe Chonáin [The Feast of Conán's House].
