Conall [Ir. con, conda, wolfish]. A very old and widely dispersed name borne both by legendary and by shadowy historical figures in early Irish history, of whom Conall Cernach is probably the best-known. The name is sometimes confused with the unrelated name Connla, Conlae, and it is anglicized as Connell.
