Cath Paluc

Cath Paluc, Cath Balug, Cath Balwg [W, Palug's cat]. A monstrous cat of Welsh tradition, known to haunt Mona (Anglesey) especially. According to the Triads, nine score warriors fell to make food for the cat. Cath Paluc may serve as a model for Chalapu of Arthurian tradition. See also the CAT SÌTH of Scotland.
