Bran mac Febail

Bran mac Febail, Bran mac Feabhail. Hero of the 8th-century adventure-voyage Imram Brain [The Voyage of Bran]. Bran falls asleep one day after listening to sweet music, after which he awakes and departs on a magical journey to the Otherworld, filled with bountiful delights. When he returns to the land of humans in Ireland, he announces that he is Bran son of Febal, but his listeners retort that Bran died many years before and that his story is ancient.
