Baíscne

Baíscne, Baoiscne, Baoisgne, Bascna [cf. OIr. baiscne, ‘large tree’, ‘stalwart’ (?)]. A clan, one of the two great families in the Fianna of the Fenian Cycle. Fionn mac Cumhaill headed the Clan Baíscne while Goll headed the other, the Clan Morna.
