Aige

Aige. The daughter of Broccaid mac Bricc, sister of Faifne, who, through envy of her neighbours, was given a síabair [distorter, enchanter, elf] who transformed her into a fawn and sent her on a circuit all around Ireland. She was later slain by the warriors of Meilge, son of King Cobthach (2), leaving only a bag of water that was thrown into a river bearing her name. Faifne, Aige's brother, tried to avenge her death but was killed by Meilge.
