A Dictionary of Celtic Mythology

Aeneas. In classical mythology a Trojan prince, son of Anchises and Aphrodite, hero of Virgil's Aeneid, the Latin epic. In both Ireland and Scotland the name Angus was once thought to be a counterpart of Aeneas.
