Lobeliaceae A family of
herbs or small trees, mainly tropical but with some temperate species, that are close to
Campanulaceae but have irregular, 2-lipped
corollas. Many (e.g.
Lobelia) are grown for ornament. Modern classifications recognize about 25 genera, with about 400 species.
