Helvella

Helvella (order Pezizales) A genus of fungi, in which the fruit body consists of a roughly saddle-shaped fertile head borne on a long, ribbed and furrowed stalk. H. crispa is whitish or cream-coloured, 4–10 cm tall, and found in autumn on the ground in broad-leaved woods.
