Rough Riders Regiment

Rough Riders Regiment the First Volunteer Cavalry Regiment, commanded by Col. Theodore Roosevelt (then Secretary of the Navy) in the Spanish-American War (1898–1902), and famous for its advance up San Juan Heights (near Santiago, Cuba) and destruction of the Spanish blockhouse at its top.
