Guilford Court House, Battle of

Guilford Court House, Battle of a pivotal battle in the Revolutionary War in North Carolina in March 1781. It was a costly British victory under Gen. Charles Cornwallis, but it strategically altered the course of the war and marked the beginning of Nathanael Greene's liberation of the South for the Americans.
