Fleet Reserve Association FRA a nonprofit organization for active duty, reserve, and retired men and women of the Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard. It was formed in 1924 as a forum to address pay and benefits needs and provide fellowship for enlisted sailors. The association was chartered by Congress and has over 150,000 members and 300 branches. It has worked on behalf of its members for legislation and is a founding member of The Military Coalition (TMC), a powerful lobby group of 30 military associations. In addition, the association sponsors programs for members and their families, upholds traditions of the Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard, and is involved in recruiting military personnel.
