Big Red One, the unofficial name for the 1st Infantry Division, the oldest continuously serving division in the U.S. Army (since 1917). Their patch is a large red numeral “1”.

The Big Red One fought at Meuse-Argonne (1918), Omaha Beach (1944), and the Battle of the Bulge (1944–45), and were the first division to fight in Vietnam.
