Allied Force, Operation

Allied Force, Operation seventy-eight-day NATO air campaign in the Kosovo region to protect the ethnic Albanian population from the Serbian/Yugoslav military and police forces of Slobodan Milosevic. Operation Allied Force, which began on March 24, 1999, and ended on June 20, 1999, involved nineteen NATO nations and over 38,000 air combat sorties. It was the largest combat operation in NATO history.
