nitrazepam

nitrazepam (ny-traz-ĕ-pam) n. a benzodiazepine drug administered by mouth to treat insomnia and sleep disturbances (see hypnotic). Morning drowsiness, lightheadedness, and confusion may occur. Trade names: Mogadon, Somnite, etc.
