ectropion

ectropion (ek-troh-pi-ŏn) n.
1. turning out of the eyelid, away from the eyeball.

2. (cervical ectopy) the presence of columnar epithelium (which normally lines the endocervix) on the vaginal part of the cervix (ectocervix) as a result of exposure to higher levels of oestrogen (e.g. at puberty, in pregnancy, or with anovulation).
