bladderworm

bladderworm (cysticercus) A larval stage of some tapeworms (see Cestoda), consisting of a fluid-filled sac containing an inverted scolex. It develops in the muscle of the secondary host and matures into an adult worm in a primary host that eats this infected tissue.
