Smith, Sydney Goodsir

Smith, Sydney Goodsir (1915–75), poet, critic, and journalist, is remembered for his part in the 20th-cent. revival of poetry in the Scots language. His first volume, Skail Wind (1941), was followed by several others, and he also edited various works on Scottish literature.
