Newnes, Sir George

Newnes, Sir George (1851–1910), publisher and magazine proprietor, who founded Tit-Bits in 1881, and in 1890, with W. T. Stead, The Review of Reviews. Stead took over the latter, and Newnes proceeded to found the Strand Magazine and other publications.
