Morgawse

Morgawse, or Morcades, in Malory's Morte D'Arthur, half-sister of Arthur, the wife of King Lot of Orkney, and mother of Modred, Gawain, Agravain, Gareth, and Gaheris. She seems to be in some ways identical in origin with Morgan le Fay; in later versions Arthur sleeps with her in disguise, thus begetting Modred.
