Moody and Sankey, Dwight Lyman Moody (1837–99) and Ira David Sankey (1840–1908), American evangelists. With Sankey as singer and organist, they carried on a revival campaign in America and England. The compilation of the Sankey and Moody Hymn Book (1873) was due to Sankey.
