Mad World, My Masters, A

Mad World, My Masters, A, a comedy by T. Middleton, written 1604–7, printed 1608.

The principal characters are young Follywit, who seeks to rob his grandfather Sir Bounteous Progress, and Penitent Brothel, who seeks to seduce the wife of the jealous Hairbrain: Sir Bounteous's mistress, Gullman, plays a part in both actions, and gulls Follywit into marriage.
