King and No King, A, a tragi-comedy by Beaumont and Fletcher, performed 1611, printed 1619.

Its complex plot describes the military and sexual rivalry of two kings, Arbaces of Iberia and Tigranes of Armenia, both of whom fall in love with Arbaces' supposed sister Panthea. It is revealed that Arbaces is a changeling and therefore ‘no king’: he marries Panthea, the true queen, and Tigranes returns to his former love Spaconia. Comic relief is provided by Bessus, a ‘miles gloriosus’.
