Johnson, Joseph

Johnson, Joseph (1738–1809), a radical bookseller and publisher of St Paul's Churchyard, who held literary dinners over the shop, where his guests included Blake, Fuseli, Godwin, J. Priestley, and Paine. From 1788 to 1799 he published the scientific and literary monthly the Analytical Review.
