Horn Childe

Horn Childe, a northern verse-romance from the period 1290–1340 of 1,136 lines in tail-rhyme stanza. The plot is broadly similar to that of King Horn though different in some details. It is believed that Horn Childe is the version of the romance referred to in ‘Sir Thopas’ (Canterbury Tales, 17).
