Bradley, F. H. ( Francis Herbert Bradley) (1846–1924), brother of A. C. Bradley, published Ethical Studies (1876), notable for its essay on ‘My Station and its Duties’; and Principles of Logic (1883). His Appearance and Reality (1893) was considered an important philosophical discussion of contemporary metaphysical thought; Bradley endeavoured to draw attention in England to continental philosophy, and particularly to Hegelianism. Essay on Truth and Reality appeared in 1914.
